Precautions for the use of graphite electrode
1. Before connecting the graphite electrode, first clean the electrode thread. When the joint is carefully screwed into one end of the electrode, screw the lifting joint into the other end of the electrode. Do not collide with the thread. It is not recommended to install the joint directly on the electrode in use on the furnace.
2. It is absolutely not allowed to clean the threads of the graphite electrode with steel wire balls, metal brushes, or sandpaper. Only compressed air without oil and water can be used to clean it.
3. Use a rotatable elastic hook and place a soft support pad under the graphite electrode joint to prevent damage to the thread.
