Introduction to Tantalum Rods and Preparation Process
The preparation process of tantalum rods mainly includes material preparation, rough processing, heat treatment, finishing, cleaning, testing and packaging.
The manufacture of tantalum rods usually uses powder metallurgy, melting and casting as the initial steps, which ensure that the raw materials of tantalum rods have high purity and uniformity.
In the rough processing stage, the tantalum rods are preliminarily processed by drilling, turning, milling and other methods to make them close to the target shape and size.
Heat treatment is one of the key steps in the preparation of tantalum rods. Because tantalum has good ductility and plasticity, its mechanical properties can be improved by heating. It is usually treated in a vacuum heat treatment furnace to ensure that the tantalum rod will not be oxidized or contaminated at high temperatures.
After finishing, the tantalum rod needs to be cleaned to remove oil and impurities on the surface. Solvents or ultrasonic cleaning machines are usually used for cleaning to ensure the cleanliness of the tantalum rod surface.
