Introduction to the basic production method of tantalum plates
The production method of tantalum plates mainly adopts cold working method, that is, cold rolling. Cold rolling is carried out at room temperature or close to room temperature, and the slab is rolled multiple times by the rolling mill to finally obtain the tantalum plate of the required thickness. During the cold rolling process, attention should be paid to lubrication and surface protection to prevent scratches and oxidation on the surface of the tantalum plate.
In addition, although tantalum plates can be hot-processed, hot processing is more difficult because the recrystallization temperature of tantalum exceeds 1000℃ and it is easy to undergo oxidation reaction. When hot processing is necessary, special protective measures need to be taken, such as processing in an inert gas atmosphere to prevent oxidation of the tantalum surface.
