TZM alloy has the characteristics of high melting point (2617℃), high strength, high elastic modulus, small linear expansion coefficient, low vapor pressure, good electrical and thermal conductivity, and strong corrosion resistance.
Compared with pure molybdenum, TZM alloy has better heat resistance, higher recrystallization temperature, excellent creep resistance and good welding performance.
Titanium and zirconium play the role of solid solution strengthening and carbide dispersion strengthening in the alloy, which makes TZM alloy have excellent high temperature strength and high temperature mechanical properties.
