Physical and chemical properties and classification uses of molybdenum electrodes
In terms of physical and chemical properties, the appearance of molybdenum electrodes is usually a silver-gray solid with a metallic luster. It has a high specific gravity (10.23g/cm³, about half of tungsten), a high melting point (2622℃), a large hardness, a high thermal conductivity, a low thermal expansion coefficient, and good heat resistance, corrosion resistance and chemical stability.
According to different shapes, molybdenum electrodes can be divided into electrode rods, electrode plates, electrode rods and threaded electrodes, etc. Their uses are slightly different. For example, electrode rods are mainly used in electric melting glass kilns, and electrode plates are mainly used in various glass fiber kilns and heating equipment for liquid flow hole panels.
