Surface quality requirements of nickel strip
The surface of nickel strip should be smooth and clean, without wind layer, cracks, bubbles, burrs, folds and inclusions.
Slight local scratches, spots, pits, indentations and roller marks that do not make the thickness of the nickel strip exceed its allowable deviation are allowed. Slight oxidation color, darkening and slight local oil stains are not used as scrapping basis.
Both sides of the nickel strip should be cut evenly without burrs, cracks and curling.
The nickel strip should be straight, but slight waves are allowed; the side curvature of the strip is not more than 3 mm per meter.
