Production characteristics and production process of Zhenan nickel rods
Nickel rods are usually silvery white with metallic luster, with a density of about 8.9g/cm³ and a melting point of about 1450℃. Nickel rods have good electrical and thermal conductivity, as well as excellent corrosion resistance. They can resist the erosion of various media such as acids, alkalis, and salts, especially in alkaline environments. In addition, nickel rods also have good plasticity and forgeability, and are easy to be made into products of different shapes and sizes through various processing techniques.
The production processes of nickel rods include melting, powder metallurgy, and electrolysis. The melting method heats nickel powder to the melting point and then cools it to form; the powder metallurgy method mixes nickel powder with other additives and then presses and sinters it; the electrolysis method prepares nickel rods by electrolyzing a solution containing nickel ions in an electrolytic cell.
