Common uses of nb plates
Niobium plates are used in aviation and aerospace industries for thermal protection and structural materials, electron tubes and other electric vacuum devices, superconducting materials, heat-resistant alloys and hard alloys. Niobium plates are relatively soft and ductile transition metals. The role of its oxide, niobium pentoxide, is similar to that of aluminum oxide and zinc oxide, which can protect the inside of the metal from corrosion.
Niobium plates have a small thermal neutron absorption cross-section, good corrosion resistance, and high high-temperature strength. They can be used as structural materials for atomic reactors and packaging materials for nuclear fuels, and can also be used as additives for nuclear fuels.
