Pure tungsten rod (purity ≥ 99.0%)
Features:
High density (19.3g/cm³), high melting point (3422℃), but high brittleness at room temperature, and plasticity needs to be improved through processing.
Purity grade subdivision:
Industrial pure tungsten: purity 99.0%-99.5%, containing a small amount of impurities such as Fe, Ni, C, etc., used for counterweights and shielding parts.
High purity tungsten: purity ≥ 99.9% (such as 99.95%, 99.99%), impurity content as low as ppm level, used for electronic devices and high-temperature furnace components.
Typical applications:
γ-ray shielding blocks in the medical field, heating elements of high-temperature vacuum furnaces, and electric light source filaments (such as halogen lamp tungsten filaments).
