Powder Metallurgy Method: This is the most commonly used method for making tungsten rods. First, tungsten ore is processed through a series of processes to obtain tungsten powder, and then the tungsten powder is mixed evenly with a small amount of additives (such as forming agents, lubricants, etc.), and pressed (molding, isostatic pressing, etc.) to form a blank with a certain shape and density. Then the blank is sintered in a high temperature (usually above 2000°C) hydrogen or vacuum environment to make metallurgical bonding between the tungsten powder particles to form a dense tungsten rod blank. Finally, the tungsten rod blank is mechanically processed (such as turning, grinding, etc.) as needed to obtain precise size and surface quality.
