Tungsten rod physical properties
Tungsten rods have a melting point of up to 3410°C, making them one of the materials with the highest melting points among known metals.
The density of tungsten rods is 19.3g/cm³, close to the density of gold.
The thermal expansion coefficient of tungsten rods is only 4.5×10⁻⁶/℃, and its high temperature stability is excellent.
The conductivity of tungsten rods is about 30% IACS, and the thermal conductivity is 165 W/m·k.
Tungsten rod mechanical properties
Mohs hardness is 7.5, second only to diamond.
The tensile strength of tungsten rods can reach 1510MPa, and the elastic modulus is twice that of steel.
It can still maintain structural integrity at a high temperature of 2700℃.
