The use temperature range of zirconium plate is wide, but the specific use temperature depends on the type of material, processing requirements and application environment.
Generally speaking, zirconium plate has good corrosion resistance and toughness at room temperature and can be widely used in various media. However, with the increase of temperature, the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of zirconium and zirconium alloys will gradually decrease. Especially above 500℃, zirconium will lose its corrosion resistance and mechanical properties will also decrease. Therefore, the weldments of zirconium and its alloys can only be used in environments below 500℃.
However, it is worth noting that some specific types of zirconium alloys may have higher use temperatures. For example, the operating temperature of structural parts such as pressure vessels and heat exchangers made of industrial pure zirconium can reach 300℃～375℃.
At the same time, after proper annealing treatment, the mechanical properties and organizational structure of zirconium plate can be improved, which may increase the use temperature range to a certain extent. The annealing temperature is usually between 500℃ and 1000℃, and the specific temperature depends on the type of material and processing requirements.
