Definition and preparation: Electrolytic cobalt flakes are high-purity cobalt metal extracted from cobalt salt solution through the electrolytic process. The process of producing electrolytic cobalt can be roughly divided into two types. One is to use chemical precipitation method to purify and remove impurities → two-stage chlorine gas nickel and cobalt separation → calcination by fire → reduction smelting into crude cobalt anode → electrolytic refining to obtain electrolytic cobalt; the other is to use extraction to remove impurities → nickel and cobalt separation → preparation.
Characteristics: Electrolytic cobalt has the advantages of high purity (usually above 99.50%), good ductility, good magnetism, corrosion resistance and good conductivity.
