Manufacturing process of Zhenan High precision zirconium plate
1. Raw material preparation
Zirconium ore mining and beneficiation: Zirconium ore is generally in the form of sand and needs to be obtained through mining. The beneficiation process mainly utilizes the physical and chemical properties of zirconium ore to separate zirconium ore from other impurities through crushing, grinding, screening and other steps to obtain a concentrate with a high zirconium content.
Smelting and refining: The selected zirconium ore is smelted to separate the zirconium element from other components to form a primary product of zirconium. The smelted product needs to be further refined to increase the purity of zirconium. During the refining process, chemical methods such as chlorination or iodination are usually used to separate zirconium from other impurities.
2. Plate preparation
Casting: Pour the refined zirconium liquid into the mold, and after it cools and solidifies, the initial shape of the zirconium plate is obtained.
Forging and rolling: The zirconium plate obtained by casting is forged and rolled to improve its microstructure, mechanical properties and surface quality. Forging can eliminate the defects such as looseness produced by the metal during the smelting process, improve the microstructure, and improve the comprehensive performance of the metal. Rolling can make the zirconium plate reach the required thickness and dimensional accuracy.
3. Heat treatment
Annealing: The zirconium plate after rolling is annealed to eliminate the residual stress inside it and improve its stability and service life. The annealing temperature and time need to be determined according to the material and thickness of the zirconium plate.
4. Surface treatment
Grinding and polishing: The annealed zirconium plate is ground and polished to remove defects such as oxide scale and burrs on its surface and improve its surface finish and aesthetics.
Anti-corrosion treatment: According to needs, the zirconium plate is treated with anti-corrosion to improve its corrosion resistance. Common anti-corrosion treatment methods include spraying anti-corrosion paint, electroplating, etc.
